Tomorrow would have been the 100th birthday for the legendary Lucille Ball, one of the greatest comedic icons of our time. I’m not sure that my art collection would have been complete without a 3d pop art tribute to her genius. She was and still is a giant among giants and a woman who will forever be woven into our cultural consciousness. I was grateful to have the opportunity to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the “I Love Lucy” show a few years ago and i am proud to have her as part of my collection. When i was working on this piece, i was asked to create an original painting to be presented to Lucy’s daughter Luci Arnaz for her birthday at a party in New York City. I still remember that evening and how much fun we had reminiscing about her mother….the stories she has to tell are just priceless.
