The White House Historical Association presents “The People’s House: A White House Experience”, an immersive journey through the history of America’s most iconic residence. As the official artist for this project, Charles Fazzino brings the story of the Executive Mansion to life with his signature whimsical and narrative style. From the intricate China patterns to the transformative renovations spearheaded by First Lady Jackie Kennedy, Fazzino’s art captures the rich history and evolving legacy of the White House. Inspired by the narrative charm of pop-up books and the intricate designs of Amish quilts, Fazzino’s work is a visual celebration of American history. His artwork, cut by hand and full of vibrant details, offers a unique and engaging way to explore the stories behind the White House.
The original piece will be on display in the museum, with limited editions available for purchase at the Wentworth Gallery in DC and the museum gift shop, including smaller 3D versions for all price ranges, with proceeds supporting the museum. Watch the Great Day Washington interview below.
