These certainly are strange times. The Coronavirus pandemic has upended every aspect of our lives. They say that necessity is the mother of invention and this period in our history has definitely made us more resourceful about finding ways to connect via technology since we can’t connect in person. We’re not sure how many of you even knew what ZOOM was a few months ago. We sure didn’t. And now, it and other video-conferencing platforms, have become life-savers with regard to keeping Charles Fazzino in contact with his collector base all over the world.

The artist typically travels at least 2 weeks out of each month to places far and wide to meet fans and dedicate their artwork. Viktoria’s Gallery in Bratislava, Slovakia came up with a wonderful way for their clients to connect with the artist…a virtual art workshop. So, for one hour on a Saturday, New York and Bratislava became one…at least on a video screen. Charles talked to the kids and gave them a brief tutorial about how he creates his artwork and then they got busy! One-by-one, they showed Charles their progress and he was able to critique their work in real time. It was a fabulous experience and we’re hoping that we can have Charles ZOOM into a gallery near you in the coming months.

Update: We just received images of artwork from this event. We are so happy to share these drawings and paintings created by the students and inspired by Charles.
