Last week, I had the wonderful opportunity of seeing my artwork permanently installed in the American Airlines terminal at JFK Airport in NY…I went for the installation and to sign posters for the American Airlines employees. Honestly, I had not idea what to expect. I left the airport later that day feeling elated, warm, and like I’d just made 100+ new friends. The welcome I received was overwhelming. What an incredible group of people…so devoted to what they do…and so genuine….i had a wonderful time.
A huge shoutout to Brian, Joe, and Sawh….I can’t thank them enough for arranging the event and inviting me back to install more pieces in their beautiful terminal. They explained to me that their goal is to give travellers an experience that surpasses all others. They are obviously succeeding…I was also there on the day of the grand opening of the new Bobby Vans restaurant. Awesome. Pretty soon, people will just want to go to the AA terminal, shop, have dinner, and spend the day…it’s THAT nice.
Will keep you posted on my growing airport exhibit!
