This one is special for all you Lafayette College Leopards out there. In case you haven’t heard yet, this year will be the 150th Anniversary of the oldest football rivalry in the country – Lafayette vs Lehigh! The game takes place in Yankee Stadium on November 22nd. To commemorate this very special event, Charles Fazzino has painted a piece that captures the excitement of the rivalry and placed it within the context of a tribute to the Legacy of Lafayette College.
“I have to admit that I didn’t know much about Lafayette before I started this project,” said Charles Fazzino from his studio in New York. “I have enjoyed learning about the pride, the history, and the passion that surrounds the College and in particular, the Lafayette-Lehigh Rivalry. I hope I’ve captured the spirit of the institution in an way that brings the experiences people have had at the college to life.”
